Thomas Charles (Tommy) Griffin
Thomas Charles (Tommy) Griffin, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of February 9th, 2020 at the age of 63 years old. He was born in Thomasville on June 11th, 1956, to Donald W. Griffin Sr. and Gertrude Joyner Griffin.

He is survived by his daughter, Kameron Griffin; his brother and sister, Don Griffin and Penny G. Gaskins (James); and adored by his many nieces and nephews.

During his life, Tommy truly lived to the fullest. He was a great musician, friend and father. His love for music began at a young age. He played with several groups as a teenager and he followed these passions and started TCG Productions, which helped bands and musicians play their music throughout South Georgia and North Florida. During this time, he touched the lives of so many. He inspired and nurtured many musicians and friends along the way.

Tommy never met a stranger and was the first to reach out if others were in need. He would rally his friends and family for the causes he supported and helped many people in the Thomasville community. God has truly gained another angel to sing (and play the drums) in Heaven. His legacy will always be remembered, not only for his family, but for the abundance of friends who loved him. He brought light, sound, and a love for music wherever he went and he will continue to do so in all of our hearts.

Funeral services for Tommy will be held on Wednesday, February the 12th, 2020, at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be at 2:00 pm. Please join his family and friends in remembrance. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.

I just found out about this today. I'll always treasure my memories growing up with "little" Tommy hovering about, always demanding to be noticed among his older cousins. His mischievous laughter will live on. My sincere condolences to his immediate family.

Tommy was a regular at Ruby Tuesday when I worked there and he always was so kind and sweet to me. If any of the other customers were rude to us servers there, Tommy would put them in their place real quick. He was a very unique and loving man. I will always love and miss him💖🌹

Tommy, Penny, and Don were the first friends we made when my Dad got out of the military and we moved next door to their grandparents in Boston. Tommy had a good heart and would do anything for a friend. Gone too soon. Love, hugs, and prayers for family et friends, God bless.
