Graveside funeral services for Ruby Carolyn Harrison Hicks, 89, of Ochlocknee, GA, are

at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 14, 2025, in Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Elder Thad Marshall will officiate.

Mrs. Hicks passed away

at Memorial Hospital, Bainbridge, GA, on Monday, February 10, 2025.

Mrs. Hicks was born on December 19, 1935, in Whigham, GA, to the late Leon Grady "Crip" Harrison and Annie Lessie Johnson Harrison. She was a 1954 graduate of Cairo

High School.

On October 20, 1962, she married Ted Edward Hicks, who preceded her in death on August 24, 2020. They were married for over 57 years. She was a dedicated homemaker and faithfully attended all four Primitive Baptist Churches in the Flint River Association and she was a devoted member of Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church in

Whigham. She was a very loving and attentive wife. She loved spending time with her four grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Survivors include her daughters, Marsha Hicks-Davis of Ochlocknee, GA and Cheryl Hicks Perkins (Steve) of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, April Perkins Ferrell (Trey) of Cairo, GA, Steven Perkins of Whigham, GA, Abigail Davis and Allison Davis, both of Ochlocknee, GA; great-granddaughter, Scarlett Kay Ferrell of Whigham, GA; sisters,

Barbara Lewis and Merlene Chastain, both of Thomasville, GA; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, brother, Charles Joseph "CJ" Harrison; sister-in law, Karen Barrett Harrison; and brothers-in-law, Tim Chastain and

Donnie Lewis.
