Robin Duane Shedd Obituary
With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Robin Duane Shedd, known affectionately as Bear or Krackerman, who departed this world on February 1, 2025 in Summerville, SC at the age of 63. Robin was born on April 05, 1961 in Thomasville, GA to Betty Jean Love Shedd and John William Shedd. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his paternal grandparents, Nora Cordelia Shedd and Robert Allen Shedd, and his maternal grandparents, Cora Lee Love and William G. Love.
In his life, Robin touched the hearts of many with his warm smile and kind nature. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to his family, friends, and community.
Robin is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca Shedd, and cherished children, Charlie Anderson (Chelsea), Thomas Anderson (Hailey), Marlana Copley (Braxton), Bryce Burns (Amber), and grandchildren: Little Charlie, Drake, Luke, Sarah, Savannah, Faith, Cloey, Owen, and Eleanor. He is also survived by his sister Susan Broadway (Howard). Niece Chelsea Broadway, Nephew Hunter Broadway (Lindsay), all of Thomasville, Ga. Numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. They will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Robin graduated Central High School in 1979 in Thomasville, Ga. His career was marked by his service in the US Navy and his role as Boiler Operator and Utilities Manager at CRP for 30 years. He made countless contributions to society through his work and dedication. Outside of his professional life, Robin's hobbies included fishing, hunting, mudding, and traveling. His passion for outdoor adventures brought joy to those around him and created lasting memories.
A man of strength and wisdom, Robin will be remembered for the love he shared and the impact he made on those around him. His spirit will live on through the stories and memories shared by all who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service was held in honor of Robin's life on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrews Parish UMC, located at 3225 Ashley River Road, Charleston, S.C.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requested donations to be made in Robin's memory to a charity of your choice.
As we bid farewell to Robin Duane Shedd, we find solace in the cherished moments we shared and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
