Meigs, GA - Funeral services for Rev. Gerald Willis, 71, of Meigs will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 2:00PM at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. Rev, Donnie Wilkes and Rev. Julian Smith will officiate and interment will be in Mt Olive Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Bryant, Hunter Bryant, Bryan Cauley, Jimmy Entrekin, Darrell Gillis, Alex Gardner, Bobby Key, and Jerome Roberts. Mr. Willis was a minister at Meigs Assembly Pentacostal.
Born October 27, 1954 in Camilla, he was the son of the late George David and Agnes Irene Hurst Willis. Mr. Willis passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at his residence.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Rose Martin Willis of Meigs; daughter, Nicki Gardner (Alex) of Thomasville; sister, Clare Cauley of Macon; two brothers, Gary Willis (Martha) of Oglethorpe; and Theron Willis (Wynette) of Thomasville; and a special friend, Ann Dempsey. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Ronald Carroll Walker, sisters, Mearian Willis Godwin (Ronald) and Delilah Willis Bryant (Alton).
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00-2:00PM.
