Newberry, FL - Paul Marcinek, of Newberry, Florida, peacefully passed away on April 6, 2026.

He was born June 26, 1945, the fourth of ten children born to Edward and Adeline Marcinek.

Paul grew up in a close-knit household on the family farm in Hopkins, Michigan. He attended St.

Stanislaus Catholic Church and School (primary), graduated from Hopkins High School in 1963,

and went on to earn his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Western Michigan University in

1968. While attending college, Paul met Nancy, and they were married on January 11, 1969.

Paul found happiness in fishing, gardening, and tinkering around his property. He will be

remembered for his steady nature and his sense of humor.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; his son, Douglas (Rachel) Marcinek of Archer,

Florida; his daughter, Paula Marcinek (Clay Brady) of Athens, Georgia; and his grandchildren,

Gaelyn Marcinek, Maksymilian Marcinek, and Ella Haas. He is also survived by his siblings: Dan

(Carol) Marcinek, Sally Marcinek, Camilla (Michael) Smith, Ted (Valerie) Marcinek, Clare

(Michael) Vilenski, Alex (Doreen) Marcinek, Vince (Terry) Marcinek, and long time family friend

Becky DeVillier; sisters-in-law: Kathy (William) Rutz and Janice Hoffman (Don Ryan); along with

many nieces, nephews, and extended family from the Marcinek, Pawloski, and Pearson

families.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Susanna Christman; and his

brother, Philip Andrew Marcinek.

The family extends heartfelt thanks for the many kindnesses shown through thoughts, prayers,

visits, calls and especially for the support given during Paul's illness. Your care and compassion

are deeply appreciated.

Services: Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 10AM; Queen of Peace

Catholic Community, 10900 SW 24th Ave, Gainesville, FL.
