Funeral services for Linda Cumbie Pearce, 74, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Gordon Heights Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. William Hurst will officiate. Private family interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Pearce passed away at her home on Sunday, December 29, 2024.

Active pallbearers will be Marty Stewart, Mark Pearce, Matt Roberts, Tommy Whitley, Brandon Morgan and Austin Hanks.

Mrs. Pearce was born on March 11, 1950, in Cairo, GA, to the late Riley Mason Cumbie and Effie Ree Dozier Cumbie. Linda married Jerry on Oct. 27, 1967. They were married for over 57 years.

Until her retirement, she was a professional cosmetologist for many years. Linda loved her Cairo Syrupmakers. She and Jerry enjoyed traveling anywhere in the country together. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and her church family.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Pearce of Cairo, GA; nieces and nephews, Kim Whitley (Dean), Kristie Hanks (Chuck), Michele Hudson (Johnny), Kathy Brown, Jimmy Cumbie, Scott Cumbie, Mark Pearce (Wendy), Sandra Roberts (Matt), Jennifer Stewart (Marty), Ricky Pearce (Tonya), all of Cairo, GA, Riley Cumbie (Kailee) of Thomasville, GA, Eric Pearce of Lake Talquin, FL, Shannon Daniels (Richard) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; and a host of extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her daughter, Shannon Nora Pearce; brothers, Ralph Cumbie, Tommy Cumbie, Donald Roger Cumbie; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harvey Lee and Dessie L. Pearce.

The family will receive friends at Gordon Heights Baptist Church on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
