Janice Miller Hall, 73, of Thomasville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Webster, Massachusetts, Janice lived a life of compassion, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to those around her.
A proud graduate of Marianhill Central Catholic High School, Janice pursued her passion for healing and education, earning a Doctorate in Nursing. She devoted much of her career to teaching and mentoring future medical professionals at Darton College and Bainbridge College. Her work changed countless lives and inspired generations to care for others with knowledge, skill, and empathy.
Janice was a member of the Catholic Church. She was a woman of resilience and grace, never hesitating to lend a listening ear, share a warm smile, or offer comfort to those in need.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Dwayne Hall, with whom she shared a deep and enduring love; her cherished grandson, Dwayne Patrick Hall; her father, Raymond Earl Miller; and her brothers, Raymond Miller and Gerard Miller.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Elaine Hall of Thomasville, GA; Glen (Vickie) Hall of Jacksonville, FL; and Chris (Virginia) Hall of Valdosta, GA, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild on the way. She was a proud grannyma and great-grannyma, finding immense joy in watching her family grow.
She is also survived by her siblings: Rachel Whitfield of Austin, TX, Jeanine Miller, Edward Miller of Minster, OH, Paul Miller of Massachusetts, Suzanne Miller of Webster, MA, and Felicia DeSalvo of Connecticut, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A funeral service honoring her life will be held at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home on Saturday March 29, 2025, at 11:00 am with Mark Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday - March 28th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Serving as active pallbearers are Landen McMullen, Kaison Hall, Brent Thompson, Reese Hall, Matthew McMullen, and Hailyn Gancerez.
Janice's presence in our lives was a blessing, and though she has left this world, the love she gave and the lessons she taught will remain in our hearts forever.
