Janice Curtis Obituary

Thomasville, Georgia - Janice Curtis, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, at the age of 90, just shy of her 91st birthday. She was born on January 21, 1935, in Reno, GA, to the late Preston and Eunice Thursby.

Janice grew up in a close-knit community and graduated from Cairo High School. Her childhood was enriched by her time spent at Pine Forest Church in Grady County, a place that fostered her deep sense of family and community. She loved shopping and cherished every moment spent with her family, who were the light of her life.

Survivors include her children, Jeannie Redfearn (Michael) of Blakley and Thomas V. Curtis Jr. (Deidra) of Thomasville; grandchildren Kody Keith Norton (Brooke), Lyle Quattlebaum (Cathy), and Ashlyn DuCharme (Chase); great-grandchildren Knox Norton, Nash Norton, Isla Norton, Thomas Quattlebaum, and Luka Quattlebaum.

Janice is preceded in death by her son, Preston Curtis, her husband, Tommy Curtis, and her parents.
