Gregory W. Stinson
Gregory W. Stinson, 79, of Thomasville, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019 at his residence. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Thomasville, GA with Dr. Jimmy Clanton officiating. Mr. Stinson was born to the late Walter L. Stinson, Jr. & Ferrolyn Mosley Stinson on October 13, 1940 in Covington County, Alabama. He married Winnette Bass Stinson in Thomasville, GA on June 30, 1979, who survives. He attended Marion Military Institute and Auburn University. He worked as a Draftsman/Sales Engineer at Davis Water & Waste for over 40 years where he retired. He was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Winnette B. Stinson of Thomasville, children, Teresa Lyn Allen (Chet) of Thomasville, Ted Harris (Samantha) of Bartlet, TN, and Jama McCall (JoAnn) of Pensacola, FL, grandchildren, Sara Kate McEown (Steven), Troy C. Harris (Sarah), Amber McMasters and one due in March 2020, great-grandchildren, Layla, Lily, Lydia, Layne, Luna Rose, Aria, Tywin, Jason, Ruby, Delilah Rose and Mason, sisters, Sue A. Goolsby of Florala, AL, Rae E. Leddon of Lockhart, AL, and his best friend, his beautiful Schnauzer, Bonnie Blue Stinson, who misses him so much. He was preceded in death by, his parents, Walter & Ferrolyn Stinson and sister, Rebecca Stinson. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Thomas County Humane Society - 180 Big Star Dr., Thomasville, GA 31757 or St. Judes Childrens Hospital - 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105. What wonderful memories of growing up together in Florala! I remember Greg's favorite car was an old Mercury with fender skirts. Condolences to Winnette, Jama, and all who loved and cared about Greg.
