Alene Iva Lindquist
March 30, 1944 - November 9, 2025
Alene Iva Anderson Lindquist, 81, of Thomasville, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her residence on November 9, 2025.
Born on March 30, 1944, in Thomasville, she was the daughter of John Leroy Anderson and Ida Irene Ray Anderson. Alene was a devoted homemaker whose life was centered around her faith, family, and the love she poured into those around her. She lived each day with kindness, grace, and a heart full of generosity. On September 26, 1964, Alene married the love of her life, Ronald Lindquist, in Port Chester, New York. Together they built a beautiful life and family with over more than six decades of marriage.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Lindquist of Thomasville; sons Ronald Lindquist (Nicki) of Boston, GA, Ashley Lindquist Clark (Ray) of Thomasville, and Bo Lindquist (Mandy) of Thomasville. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Hannah Lindquist, Eli Lindquist, Morgan Pritchett, Tommy Piland, Kaytlyn Lindquist, Kiersten Sailors (Ashton), Kassie Lindquist, and Hunter Lindquist; and great-grandchildren Kyleigh Mondore, Rosie Lindsay, and Ella Diaz, and her brother, James "Buddy" Anderson (Margarete) of Colorado.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Simpson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home, with Pastor Jerry Ruis officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
