Services for L.C. Wilkins Sr., 78, of Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017, at St. Paul P.B. Church in Miccosukee, Florida. Elder Charles Wilkins, associate elder of Mt. Pleasant P.B. Church in Tallahassee, Florida, will officiate and interment is in Old Union Cemetery in Miccosukee, Florida. Pallbearers are grandsons and nephews. Mr. Wilkins died April 17 at his Metcalf-Beachton Road residence. Born Nov. 29, 1938, in Leon County, Florida, he was the son of the late William and Ida Wilkins. On Feb. 1, 1958, in Thomas County,?Georgia, he married Patsy Lou Hudson. He attended the Leon County School System and was a member of St. Paul P.B. Church. He was a pulpwood worker and retired from Sunny Hill Plantation. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Lou Wilkins of Thomasville; sons, L.C.?Wilkins Jr. of Thomasville, Willie Wilkins of Atlanta; daughters, Geraldine Wilkins of Thomasville, Marie Ford of Rockledge, Florida, Dorothy Smith of Thomasville; brother, Amos Wilkins of Miccosukee, Florida; sisters, Emma Lynn of Tallahassee, Florida, Nellie Williams of Thomasville, Pinkey Hayes of Miccosukee, Florida, Annie Mae Jones of Tallahassee, Florida; nine grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The viewing is from noon to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home and from 9:30 a.m., until the funeral hour on Saturday at the church.
