Franklin Rudolph Ragan died Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at his residence. He was born July 15, 1933, in Colquitt County, son of the late Artie Franklin Ragan and the late Corby Washington Ragan. On Dec, 27, 1959, in McDonough, he married Juanita Anne Thacker Ragan, who survives. Mr. Ragan attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton and Southern Technical Institute in Marietta. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Murphy Drugs and delivered pharmaceuticals for many years. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Anne Ragan, Thomasville; daughter, Deborah Anne Schoepke (Kip), Atlanta; son, Carl Franklin Ragan (Tammy), Douglas; daughter, Laura Jon Hall (Jeff); granddaughter, Elizabeth Ragan Treat (Dustin), Thomasville; grandsons, Carl Franklin Ragan Jr., Jesse Preston Ragan, both of Douglas; granddaughters, Sarah Marie Robinson (Josh), Albany, Wendy Anne Lester, (Kenny), Leesburg; grandson, Kevin Dewayne Millner Jr. (Jesenia), Fort Hood, Texas; six great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Ragan, Thomasville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home. A separate visitation is from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at Ricketson Funeral Home, 305 W.
