Funeral services for Willodene H. Lee, 86, of Pavo will be Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11 a.m., in the Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Tim Vanlandingham of Pavo Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Lee was born October 11, 1931 in Pavo, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Willie Lou Bustle Hart and the late John Roscoe Hart. She married Banner H. Lee, who precedes her death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Banner Reginal Lee. She was affiliated with multiple professional affiliations: Georgia Vocational Association, the American Vocational Association, the Georgia Association of Educators, the National Association of Educators; the Thomas County Association of Educators, American Home Economics Association, Georgia Home Economics Association, Georgia Home Economics Teacher Association, Phi Upson Omicron, National Honorary Fraternity Home Economics, Kappa Delta Pi National Education Fraternity, Delta Kappa Gamma Society and the Future Farmers of America. She was also associated with multiple civic affiliations, including, Thomasville Garden Club, Pavo Woman's Club, Thomas County Livestock Association (Cowbells) and the Thomas County Farm Bureau. Mrs. Lee graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics from Georgia College. In 1966, she graduated with a Master's Degree from the University of Georgia. Mrs. Lee spent 27 years in education that included 25 years teaching Home Economics with the Thomas County School System. After retirement she worked at Neel's Department Store. She is survived by a sister, Faye Hart McCrary of Cuthbert, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Pavo Baptist Church, 2097 W.
