Mr. Willie Brown, Jr. was born in Boston, Georgia on August 20, 1933 to the late Alberta Brown and Mr. Willie Howard. Mr. Brown finished Boston High School in 1954 and then afterwards, married his high school sweetheart, Mary Magdalene Simon on July 9, 1954, who preceded him in death. He then left for the Army and was stationed in Japan. He was enlisted for five years. To this glorious union, he was blessed with three children: Dianne, Annie, and the late Charles Brown. He worked hard to provide for his family throughout his life. He worked at construction jobs in Florida, Sunnyland Packing Co., and before retiring, the Thomasville City Maintenance Department, driving a street sweeper for our fair city and keeping it clean.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Diane (Arthur, Jr.) Williams, Annie (William) Mitchell, both of Thomasville, Ga.; four loving grandchildren; Arthur (Latesia) Williams, III, Thomasville, Ga., Tammy T. Mitchell, Thomasville, Ga., Diangelia (Kenyard) Battle, Milledgeville, Ga., and La'Trice (DeCarlos) Brinson, Valdosta, Ga. Three great-grandchildren, Miracle D. Wilson, Alaysia B. Williams, Aubrey C. Williams, all of Thomasville, Ga., and one great-grandson, Arthur Williams, IV that preceded him in death. A very devoted sister-in-law, Mrs. Gladys Simon of Thomasville, Ga. as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Graveside service will be held Friday November 10, 2017 at 1:00PM at the Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Thomasville, Ga. Rev. Isaiah Staten, officiating. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 1601 Orange Street in Thomasville for the processional at 12 Noon.
