Text size

It is with great sadness that the family of Virginia "Gini" Foote Miller announces her passing on February 27, 2018, at the age of 75. Gini will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 50 years, Ronald Miller, and her children Christopher (Jeannine) and Victoria. Gini will also be fondly remembered and missed by her four grandchildren, Chase, Hope, Rand and Anderson and cousins Michael Foote and Delbert (Carolyn) Hahn. Gini is preceded in death by her parents, George and Marion (Fletcher) Foote and her brother, George Foote.
A native of Cleveland, OH, Gini moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1959 and graduated from Fort Lauderdale High and TheFlorida State University. Gini enlisted as an officer in the United States Air Force in 1965 and became an Intelligence Officer. It was during her time in the Air Force that she met her husband, Ron. Gini and her family eventually settled in South Florida where they raised their family and she ran the family-owned Beach Travel Service. After retirement, Gini and Ron moved to Thomasville, GA, where they remained until her passing.
Gini was an active member All Saints Episcopal Church, Thomasville Chapter of DAR, The Bodacious Gals Red Hats Club, the Garden Club, and a dedicated and engaged supporter of the Vashti Center. Gini was also actively involved in her book and bridge clubs. Gini is remembered by friends in Thomasville as a successful fundraiser, a dependable and tireless advocate for others, and most importantly a supportive friend.
Gini touched the lives of many and will be missed greatly by all who were fortunate enough to stand in her light, especially her husband, children and grandchildren. Her smile and laugh were infectious, and her positive and upbeat attitude were enviable. Gini was the epitome of a life well lived.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Gini's life at All Saints Episcopal Church in Thomasville, GA on March 26, 2018 at 1:00 pm. The family will hold a small reception afterward in the Parish Hall for friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in her honor to the Thomasville Chapter of DAR or the Vashti Center in Thomasville, two organizations closest to Gini's heart. Guests are invited to sign the online register at www.allenfh.com.
