Funeral Services for Tommy Walter Cochran, Sr., 74, of Pavo will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home, the Rev. David Douglas officiating, interment following at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Cochran was born October 18, 1943 to the late William Frank Cochran and Susie Jane Watts Cochran in Savannah, GA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a welder and an over the road truck driver until retiring, and is of the Christian faith. Mr. Cochran passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2018 at his residence and is survived by four children Tommy Walter Cochran, Jr. and Sherry Cochran Vaughn (David) both of Jacksonville, FL, Charles Wesley Cochran (Kathy) of Pelham, Frank Cochran of Valdosta, eight grandchildren, and twenty-six great grandchildren, siblings and in-laws, Roger and June Cochran of Boston, Wesley and Carolyn Cochran of Thomasville, Inez and Kenneth Nellis and Sue and Sam Murdoch all of Elberton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Frank Norwood Cochran, Bobby Cochran, Harold Cochran and Ronnie Cochran.
