Funeral service Sharon Jones will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Centennial M.B. Church. Pastor T. Cason will do the words of comfort. Burial will be at Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Sister Sharon Marvette Knight Jones was born on June 15, 1965, to the late John L. Knight and Ruby L. Knight in Thomasville, Georgia. She was the only girl of six loving brothers. She was a member of Centennial Missionary Baptist Church of Thomasville, Georgia. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. In 1997, she became a licensed minister. She was a strong recruiter for the Lord. She attended Thomasville High School and was a member of the Thomasville High School Marching Band Flag Team. She retired from the State of Georgia after being employed for twenty-two years. Sharon enjoyed being a Health Technician Supervisor. She leaves to cherish her memories, two loving daughters, Faith and Hope Staton; six loving brothers, John (Beatrice), Glen (Janie), Lorenzo (Wendy), Morris (Annette), Johnny (Kathy), and Stanton (Denise); honorary brother, Elvin (Sharon) Jones; loving uncles, Samuel (Anna) Maxwell and Freddie Lee (Priscilla) Maxwell; loving aunts, Maretta (Herman) Hadley and Gladys (Leon) Mitchell; loving nieces and nephews, Lorenzo (Amy) Knight, Jr., Tomika Knight, Stanton Knight, Jr., Reginald Knight, Jasmine Knight, Dyamond Knight, Faith Staton, Savion Knight, and Hope Staten; nine great-nieces, one great-nephew, a host of cousins; and special friends, Evelyn Jones and Catherine Barnes. Public viewing will be Friday, June 30, 2017 from noon until 7 p.m. Hopkins Mortuary
