Sarah Margaret Vickers Williams, age 85, passed away June 15, 2017 peacefully after a long lengthy illness with family by her side. Sarah was the daughter of the late George and Sarah Vickers of Havana, Florida. She was the owner of the Floral Shoppe on Crowder where she loved to do her flower arrangements and did Wedding Cakes. She was also a founding member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Tallahassee. She was proceeded in death by her husband, John Dupree Williams, son, Kenneth Eugene Hampton Sr.; two brothers, Virgil Vickers of Boron, Califorinia, Harold Vickers of Bainbridge, Georgia; two sisters, Geraldine Bauldree of Quincy, Florida, Joyce Gentry of Tallahassee, Florida; and two grandchildren, J.J. Goodman Jr. and Stephanie Lynn Goodman both of Tallahassee, Florida. She is survived by two daughters, Vicki Hampton Goodman and Tammie Lynn Hurdle both of Tallahassee, Florida; two grandsons, Kenneth Eugene Hampton Jr. of Woodville, Florida and Zuri Dupree Maxwell (wife Amanda) of Signorelli, Sicily; two great-granddaughters, Kensley Leigh Hampton and Jordyn Gail Hampton both of Woodville, Florida.
The family would like to thank River Valley Rehabilitation Center of Blountstown, Florida for all the love and care they gave her for the past few years especially the nurses and all the staff and doctors. And for many years before having to go into a nursing home we would like to tell Dr. Michael Gee, McIntosh Clinic in Thomasville, Georgia thank you so much. There are two wonderful ladies that have been there for our mom for over 20 years, Attorney Carolyn T. LeBoeuf and her assistant, Bea, thank you for all you have done. Private family services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's/Dementia Project Foundation in Tallahassee.
