Funeral services for Mr. Ruebine "Sonny" Daniels will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Greater New Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, 216 3rd St. S.W., Cairo, Georgia. The Rev. Morris R. Evans Sr., pastor. The Rev. Dr. Dellise Cox, officiating. Interment will be held at Walden Cemetery, Whigham, Georgia. Pallbearers are members of the Cairo High School Class of 1973. Mr. Daniels passed away on May 14, 2017. Ruebine "Sonny" Daniels was born on January 6, 1954 to the late George and Ada C. Daniels in Cairo, Georgia. Sonny confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Greater New Corinth M.B. Church. He graduated from Cairo High School in 1973. He lived in New York the majority of his adult life where he had several occupations; his last being 20-plus years with Con Edison of New York. Sonny returned to Cairo, and reacquainted himself with the Greater New Corinth Church where he served as a Trustee and a member of the Usher ministry. Survivors include devoted friend, Teresa Gee Harris of Cairo, Georgia; sons, Jaeson (Banita) Daniels of Atlanta, Georgia, Kyle Daniels of Atlanta, Georgia; daughters, Trevia Daniels of Tampa, Florida, Shawanda Daniels of Clearwater, Florida, Rasheeda Daniels of New York; brother, George Daniels of New York; sisters, Annette (Ulysee) Spence of Cairo, Georgia, Allie Daniels of Cairo, Georgia, Devorah Daniels of Cairo, Georgia, Gladys (Jonas) Bowden of Cairo, Georgia, Mary Herring of New York; aunts, Deloise Parker of Cairo, Georgia, Stella Mann of Lumberton, North Carolina; uncles, Ernest (Sarah) Cooper of Miami, Florida, Sammie (Pam) Cooper of Cairo, Georgia; family friend, Roger Pierce Sr. of Cairo, Georgia; five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. There will be a family hour held from 6 to 7 p.m., on Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Cloud Funeral Home Chapel. Cloud Funeral Home
