Graveside services for Ruby Lois Nichols Long of Boston are at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Boston City Cemetery. Pastor David Douglas will officiate. Mrs. Long died Monday, August 28, 2017 at Camellia Gardens of Life Care. Born December 27, 1935 in Ariton, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Roy Nichols and Kizzie Hall Nichols. On April 10, 1954, in Thomasville, Georgia, she married Harmon Long Jr. of Boston. She was a homemaker and a member of Boston Church of God. Survivors include her husband, Harmon Long Jr.; children, Teresa McCorkle, Timothy Harmon Long (Billie); Dexter E. Long (Ingelise); grandchildren, Brian McCorkle (Michele), Brandy McCorkle, Tyler Long (Bekah), Kyle Long (Heather), Jackie Fielding, Ashley Morris (Keith Baker), Logan Long, Thomas Long; great-grandchildren, William McCorkle, Lee McCorkle, Garrett Long, Perry Long, Griffyn Granger, Colt Morris, Mickey Moore, and soon-to-arrive Baby Baker. She was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Kizzie Nichols; siblings, Virgil Nichols, Don Nichols, Gladys Nichols, Morris Nichols, and Glenward Nichols; son, Wayne Morris Long and daughter, Deborah Lee Long; and grandson, Jared Lee Long.
