Services for Richard Ross, 78, of Thomasville, are at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 27, 2017, at St. Mark AME?Church. The Rev. Richard Williams will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers are stewards of St. Mark AME?Church and friends. Mr. Ross died May 20 at Archbold Hospital. Born Sept. 8, 1938, in Mitchell County, Georgia, he was a son of the late Rebecca and Roscoe Ross. He was a graduate of Douglass High School and a member of St. Mark AME?Church. He married to Renella Mack?Ross who preceded him in death. He was retired from Sunnyland Foods Inc. Survivors include his sons, Terry (Berlinda)?Frazier, Jeffrey (Brenda)?Ross Sr.; daughter, Sonja Rena Ross Davis all of Thomasville; sisters, Bonnie McIntyre of Miami, Florida, Eulah (Stepney) Cowart, Beulah Seabrook both of Thomasville, Shirley (Larry)?Wright of Orlando, Florida; brothers, Roscoe (Annie) Ross Jr. of Miami, Florida, Jesse Ross of Browns Mills, New Jersey, Johnny (Earnestine) Ross of Miami Gardens, Florida; grandchildren, Tori (Alicia) Sapp Sr., Kimberly (Keith) Seabrooks, Terry Fraizer, Brandon Ross, Brittney Davis, Roshonda Frazier, Keith Davis Jr., Jeffrey Ross Jr.; uncle, Frank Ross of Camilla; friend, Leory McMillian; sisters-in-law, Shirley Wilkins of Thomasville, Cora Davis of Woodbridge, Virginia; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Sapp; sister, Thelma Spate, Dale Fann; and brother, Roger Ross. The viewing is from noon to 8 p.m., at the funeral home on Friday and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at the church with no viewing after the eulogy. Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
