Patricia Denise Cox,"Nee-C", oldest child of Donnell and Johnnie Mae Cox, Sr. was born on March 17, 1979 in Thomasville, GA. Maternal granddaughter of the late Johnny and Juanita Jones of Thomasville. Paternal granddaughter of Lillie Bell Williams of Ochlocknee and the late George Cox of Meigs. Nee-C accepted Christ at an early age and joined Willowhead Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the choir. She graduated from Thomasville High School with the class of 1997. She then continued her education and received a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting in 2001 from the Unsinkable Albany State University. In 1997, she became a member of Omega Essence Sisterhood at Albany State. She received numerous awards in high school and college ranging from Dean's List, Honor Roll, Citizenship and Academic Excellence. After graduating college, she worked for the IRS followed by becoming a personal tax preparer.
Patricia enjoyed helping and taking care of others as well as being a mother. She would give her last to help somebody else. She dedicated her life in ensuring her boys were equipped with appropriate life skills. She was a fun person to be around and loved playing cards. Family was very important to her whether she was spending time with her brother, hanging with her sisters, a day with mom and dad, or planning a vacation for her boys she embodied a true sense of family.
Nee-C leaves a legacy of love. To remember and celebrate memories of life she leaves her mother and father: Donnell and Johnnie Mae Cox of Thomasville; two sons: Jaylen and Brandon Jackson of Thomasville; a favorite brother: Donnell Cox, Jr. of Washington, D.C.; two sisters: Angela Cox and Avais McClendon of Tallahassee; grandmother: Lillie Bell Williams of Ochlocknee; three nieces: Destiny Brown, Takira Eason and Jakira Bowens of Tallahassee; three nephews: Jukerius Bowens, Jr., Andrew Cox and Travis McNeil, Jr. of Tallahassee; Significant other: Lloyd Wyche; two step-sons: Javeon Kilpatrick, Tyvarious Wyche; four aunts: Helen Curry (Terry) of Detroit,MI, Debra Holmes (Anthony) of Tallahassee, Anita Lawson (Robert) of Thomasville and Darlene Hipp(Anthony) of Atlanta; five uncles: Roy Ford(Lerita) of Louisville, KY, Mark Ford (Eddie Mae) of Hinesville, Alphonzo Nixon and Bennie Cox of Ochlocknee and Odis Jones (Lorene) of Thomasville and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 11:00 am at Willowhead Missionary Baptist Church, 615 E. Calhoun Street, with burial in Peaceful Rest Cemetery on North Pinetree Blvd. Public viewing will be held Friday from 1-7 pm at the funeral home.

My condolences to the family. I didn’t know Patrica personally but her parents are my classmates! I pray that God gives you that peace that surpasses all understanding but you must keep your mind on him! I love you all!!!
