Margaret's Story

Margaret "Peggy" Evans of Thomasville, GA. passed away Monday January 22, 2018 at Archbold Medical Center. Peggy was born in Thomasville on May 20, 1946 to the late James D. F. Evans, II and Margaret Bracey Evans. She attended Mary Baldwin College in Stanton, VA, University of California Los Angeles, Tallahassee Community College and Thomas University. She retired as an ICU Nurse from Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Rambler Rose Garden, Nation Society of the Colonial Dames in the State of Georgia and All Saints Episcopal Church. Survivors include her brother, Dr. James D. F. Evans, III and his wife Alexandra Shenpen of Boulder, CO, sister, Dale Evans Gurley and husband Paul of Thomasville, nephew, Neel Gurley of Thomasville, and her beloved dogs, Bucket, Babe, and Honey. Services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 4:00 p.m., interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, with Father Paul Hancock officiating.
