Services for Madeline P. Eaton of Ochlocknee are at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Eastside Baptist Church. Pastor Tim Robson will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Eaton died Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Archbold Medical Center. Born May 6, 1930 in Stewart, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Frank Tucker Potts and Elizabeth Page Potts. She was a retired health service technician with Southwestern State Hospital and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She graduated from Mitchell County High School in Camilla and she loved to hunt, fish, the Atlanta Braves, making quilts for her children and grandchildren. She dearly loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Survivors include daughter, Lavonia E. Vonier (David) of Ochlocknee; son, Richard Donald Eaton, Sr. (Shirley) of Ft. Myers, Florida; daughter, Nancy Clark (Robert) of Ochlocknee; son, Glenn Eaton (Debra) of Pavo; daughter, Martha Jane Chesnutt of Thomasville; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Earl Potts of Albany, Thad Potts of Eastman; sisters, Frances Hatcher of Camilla, Juanita Sculley of Lizella, Janice Smith of Cairo; and best friends for life, Ms. Eunice Stillwell and Rhett Stillwell. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Tennyson Jane Jones, Catherine Christian Newton, James Alfred Potts, Bythel Lamar Potts, Sue Carol Potts and Robert Joseph Pitts.
