LEROY WILLIAMS

Leroy Williams was born to the late Edythe Homer Martin and Benjamin Daniels on February 12, 1931 in Tampa Florida. He was raised in Wildwood, Florida by his loving adoptive parents, the late Abb Williams and Ethel Robinson Williams.
He attended J.R.E. Lee High School graduating in 1949. He served in the United States Army from 1952-1954 (Korean War Veteran). He received his B.S. Degree in Business Administration from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Tallahassee, Florida in 1956 and his M.Ed. in 1965. Leroy accepted Christ at an early age.
He enjoyed a distinguished educational career that began in 1956 through 1993, upon his retirement. he was the Assistant Director of Admissions and Records at Florida Agricultural & Mechancial University; Director of Evening Programs, Walton Division and Assistant Dir. Thomas Technical Institute.
He was initiated into the Tallahassee Alumnae Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. 1963, charter member of the Thomasville Alumni Charter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. 1988.
He leaves to cherish his memory daughter, Robin L. Williams (Iris); son, Alan Williams (Opal); grandchildren, Adrianna, Alan, Louis, Devon and Daniel; cousin, Alma White and loving devoted companion, Rosa Baety and children; and goddaughter, Chelsea A. Coachman. A host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by son, Randall Leroy Williams.
Funeral services will be held at Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church Thursday October 11, 2018 11:00AM. Public viewing Wednesday at the funeral home 2:00-7:00pm. Burial Friday October 12, 2018 in Wildwood Community Cemetery, Industrial Street, Wildwood, Florida at 1:00pm.
