Funeral services for Joseph Spu William Fain Adams, 69 of Whigham, Georgia will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 1 p.m., at Family Worship Center 1760 US Hwy 84 west Cairo, Georgia. Pastor Johnny Moore, pastor, The Elder Ervin Donaldson officiating. Interment will be held at Walden Cemetery, Whigham, Georgia.

Honorary Pallbearers are Johnny Cowart, Jimmy Jackson, George Cornell, Jimmy Kelly, Danny Jackson, Robert Hill, Sr. Clem Feaster and Freddie Hill, Sr. Active Pallbearers are Reginald Cromartie, Fontae Gaines, Christopher Peters, Richard Cromartie, Jr., Charley Jackson, and Aaron Spivie.
Earthly life for Joseph Spu Adams began on June 10, 1948. Spuas he was affectionately called was the son of the now-late Joe Adams and Alma Clemmons Adams.

Joseph confessed Christ as his Savior many years ago. He received his education in the public schools of Whigham, Georgia. In 1990, he founded Adam and Sons Savage, LLC. He also had a special love for animals. One of Josephs cherished past times was to bar-b-q and fry fish. He had a special love for people, especially his family, and never passed on the opportunity to minister to those he came in contact with. Joseph was a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, brother and uncle. Joseph was united in holy matrimony to on October 25, 1985 Gloria J. Spivie. To this union three sons were born.

He leaves to cherish his memories: A loving devoted wife Gloria Adams, (4) Sons Bruce Gurley (Sandra) of Bainbridge, Georgia, Cedric Adams, of Whigham, Georgia, Joseph Adams, (Jessica), of Japan, and Milford Adams, of Whigham, Georgia. (1) Daughter, Ferlisha Harrell (Terrance Keaton) of Bainbridge, Georgia. (1) Sister: Mary Sue Mullin of Bainbridge, Georgia, brothers-in-law: Avalie (Evelyn) Spivie, Dewayne George, Terrell George, Jimmy (Clara), William (Bessie) , Danny Jackson all of Cairo, Georgia; John (Linda), of sisters-in-law: Margie Maddox and Betty Jean Spivie, both of Havana, Florida, Christine Jackson, Annie Jackson; Bertha (Cecil) Williams, Teresa (Jimmy) Fortner, Bridgett George, all of Cairo, Georgia; Annie Jones of Tallahassee, Florida, Mary Mott of Jacksonville, Florida and Annie (Roosevelt) Roderick of Thomasville, Georgia. 8 Grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
