John Reid Comita, 15, of Ft. Worth, Texas passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017. Reid was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Richard Comita Jr. (Copper Allen) of Ft. Worth. His maternal grandparents are Mrs. Cochran Albert Scott (Kathleen Reid) of Thomasville and Dr. and Mrs. Terry Reynolds Allen of Nashville, Tennessee. His paternal grandparents are Mr. John Richard Comita and the late Mrs. Comita (Marian O'Mally Comita) of Winchester, Massachussetts. Reid is also survived by his loving sister, Reynolds Allen Comita and a large family of aunts, uncles and cousins. Reid was an excellent student who loved learning new subjects on his own and was genuinely good natured with a hearty laugh, which will be strongly missed. He was actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 336 and The Voices of Central show choir. He had been accepted for the Select Men's Choir and the Varsity Show Choir. A private graveside service with family and close friends will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Thomasville on Monday June 26, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Reid will rest at the foot of his great-grandfather, James William Reid, M.D. A memorial service will be held in Ft. Worth, Texas at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice or the Boy Scouts of America Troop 336 or The Voices of Central Show Choir at the following web address http://tinyurl.com/ReidComita re: Lucas Funeral Home, Keller, Texas.
