Services for Goodie Williams Holton, 94, of Beachton, Georgia are at 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Thomasville. Elder Larry Brown will officiate and interment is in Browning Cemetery in Thomasville. Mrs. Holton passed away at Rose City Health and Rehab on Saturday, Oct. 21. Mrs. Holton was born on Sept. 9, 1923, in Grady County, Georgia to the late Joe Williams and Mattie Bush Williams. In 1941, she married Henry James Holton Sr., who preceded her in death on April 22, 1987. She was a devoted member of Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church where she served on the Mother's Board, Usher Board and she sang in the choir. Survivors include one son, Henry James Holton Jr. of Thomasville; two daughters, Mable Jones (Ben) of Tallahassee, Florida, Melinda Samuel (Terrence) of Thomasville; two brothers-in-law, Allen Williams of Beachton, David Harris of Beachton; three sisters-in-law, Margaret Holton of Trenton, New Jersey, Bernice Holton of Thomasville, Barbara Holton of Augusta; one son-in-law, Theodore Conyers; one daughter-in-law, Mary Holton; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and a numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Henry James Holton Sr.; two sons, Leroy Holton and Robert Holton Sr.; one daughter, Mattie Holton Conyers; and daughter-in-law, Dorothy Holton. The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and following interment services on Saturday at Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Public viewing is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and from 1:30 p.m., until the funeral hour on Saturday with no viewing afer the eulogy. Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
