George Billy Price, 81, of Thomasville, passed away April 7, 2017, at Presbyterian Home in Quitman. Billy was born January 13, 1936, at home to Willie Eugene and Endia Gertrude (Perkins) in Emanuel County. He graduated from Dixie High School in Dixie in 1954. After serving in the United States Army in Berlin, Germany, Billy and Glenda made their home in Thomasville. He is remembered by many as the Dairyco milkman or the owner of the Dairyco Drive-In, but for many years, Billy was a salesman for many companies including, McCallum Foods, Byron's BBQ, and Rich's Foods. After retiring, Billy enjoyed traveling with Glenda and taking grandchildren to The University of Georgia Bulldogs' football games. He could often be found working in the yard or outside with his grandchildren. Billy is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Glenda Ball Price; sons, G. Blaine Price (Joliene) of Cumming, and Kevin D. Price of Columbus; daughters, Latrelle Cone (David) and Christina Smith of Thomasville; 10 grandchildren, Billy Price (Caroline), Matthew Cone (Linsey), Tricia Price, Gary Smith (Taylor), Josh Cone (Lindsey), Thomas Cone (Mary Margaret), Allyson Smith, Benjamin Cone, Douglas Smith and Jacob Cone; great-grandson, Robert William Price. Billy also leaves behind his siblings Kenneth E. Price, Dolly Herndon (Albert), Linda Oliveto, W. Dewey Price, a special cousin, Gene A. Price, and many other nieces, nephews and relatives. Billy was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Frances Price. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of The Presbyterian Home in Quitman and Hospice of Southwest Georgia for their loving care. A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the Allen & Allen Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be at 2 p.m. in the main building of Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
