Gail Delores Mitchell McNish
Services for Gail Delores Mitchell McNish, 64, of Thomasville are at 11 a.m., April 27, 2017, at First Baptist Church, 210 N.?Broad St., Thomasville. The Rev. Chestina Mitchell Archibald and the Rev. Emory C. Virgil will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Thomasville. Pallbearers are her nephews. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Douglass High School class of 1970. Mrs. McNish died April 22 at her residence. Born April 23, 1952, in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Emmitt Mitchell Sr. and Lula Mae Hardy Mitchell. She was a 1970 graduate of Douglass High School and the Walton Division of Thomas Technical Institute where she obtained her licensed practical nurse diploma. On March 20, 1971, in Thomasville, she married William McNish. She was a member of Providence M.B. Church and Rebecca Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include husband, William Henry McNish of Thomasville; daughters, Jamilah McNish of Thomasville, Shukura McNish of Thomasville, Nayo McNish of Thomasville, Alzen Whitten of Brooklyn, New York; sons, Tommy Rainge (Danielle) of Fayetteville, Clifford McClarrin of Thomasville; grandchildren, Desharah, DeJanique, A'Antez, Heaven, Kevin, Tahja, Tionne, Kaylyn, Kamden, Addyson and Ashton; great-grandchildren, Amori and Amar; brother, Modie Mitchell of Thomasville; sister, Angela Seabrooks of Thomasville; sisters-in-law, Catherine McNish of Thomasville, Elivia McNish of Thomasville, Jacqueline Samuel of Thomasville, Gayle Mitchell of Temple Hill, Maryland; brothers-in-law, Raleigh McNish of Thomasville, Charles McNish of Decatur, Georgia; goddaughters, Arissie Brooks of Lafayette, Louisiana, Shakura Harris of Thomasville; and a host of special family members and friends.
