Frederick  Keadle


Services for Frederick Keadle of Thomasville, GA, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2019, at Dawson Street Baptist Church. Rev. Lee Waller will officiate, and the interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Born on September 6th, 1924 in Hopeful, GA, he was the son of the late Newton and Clifford Gandy. Frederick married Eleanor Fleetwood on January 30th, 1943 in Thomasville, GA. They were married for 76 years. Frederick began his career working for his family business at Keadle Lumber Company. After his time at Keadle Lumber, he opened his own car lot, Fred's Used Cars, where he loved selling cars for years. During his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Frederick was a charter member of Dawson St. Baptist Church, where he served as the Senior Sunday School Superintendent for years. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Keadle; daughters, June Haire (Charles) of Thomasville, Abbie Keadle of Thomasville, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Dawson Street Baptist Church at 1025 N Dawson St, Thomasville, GA 31792.
