Services for Frankie Mae "Tennie"?Smith, 88, of Thomasville, are at noon, Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. E.H. Hopkins, interim pastor and the Rev. Gary Sanders officiating with interment following in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers are Charles Bostick, Edward Thomas, Quhanna Lloyd, Shmon Bostick, Roscoe Thomas III and Jason Smith. Mrs. Smith died Nov. 9 at her residence. Born Dec. 9, 1928, in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Jones and Viola Jones. She was married to Johnny Eddie Clay Smith who preceded her in death on June 10, 2013. She was a member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include son, Robert Smith of Thomasville; daughters and husbands, Sharon Stacey (John) of Riverdale, Rosetta Howard (Bobby) of Middleburg, Florida; son and wife, Edward Smith (Cynthia) of Atlanta; daughter, Margaret Smith of Atlanta; son, Franklin Smith of Atlanta; daughter and husband, Carol Samuel (Robert) of Atlanta; son, Tommy Smith of Valdosta; daughters, Tangela Smith of Thomasville, Valerie Smith of Enterprise, Alabama; sister, Etha Jones of Cairo; brothers, Jerry Jones of Thomasville, Johnny Jones of Jacksonville, Clarence Jones of Quincy, Florida; 27 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-granchildren; four great-great-great-granchildren; and a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews. The viewing is from 2 to 7 p.m., Friday at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday at the church. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at 11:15 a.m., Saturday at 606 Fletcher St. for the procession. The family will receive friends after the services at the Rev. Frank D.
