Enoch's Story

Mr. Enoch Lee Sr. was born in Worth County, Georgia on October 20, 1932 to the late Mrs. Ada Lee and Mr. David Lee. Mr. Lee was educated in the public school system of Worth County. He later moved to Meigs, Georgia and began working as a farm labor worker. Soon after, he moved to Thomasville, Georgia, where he married the late Mrs. Janie M. Lee. Mr. Lee started working for the Thomasville Coca-Cola Bottle Company from which he later retired. On Saturday, August 26th, 2017, he departed this earthly life. He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters, Sabrina Lee, Glenda Lee and Barbara Byrd; three sons, Gregory Lee, Enoch Lee Jr., and Johnny Byrd of Thomasville, Georgia; three sisters-in-law, Lessie Pettis, Annie Bell Hayes, and Birda Miller; and one brother-in-law, Bennie Miller as well as, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends all of Thomasville, Georgia. Mr. Lee will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Viewing is scheduled for September 1 from noon to 7 p.m. at Hadley's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 2, 2017 at 11a.m., at St. George Chapel CME Church, 17742 Hwy. 319 North in Thomasville. The Rev. Willie Wade, pastor, and the Rev. Maurice Miller, officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 10a.m., at 428 Webster St. in Thomasville for the processional.
