Services for Elder Mack Conger Davis Sr., 81, of Pavo, are at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at Saint Paul Temple Church of God in Christ, Coolidge. Superintendent Paul E. Hayes Jr., officiating minister, eulogist Elder Mack C. Davis Jr. with interment in Peaceful?Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers are friends of the family. Elder Davis died Aug. 28 at his residence. Born March 29, 1936, he was the son of the late Charlie E. Davis Sr. and Cappie Mae Davis. He was married to the former Essie Odom of Pavo. He attended the Thomas County School System, was a retired cook from Food Champ in Coolidge and a member of Saint Paul Temple Church of God in Christ. Survivors include his wife, Essie Davis of Coolidge; sons, Mack Davis Jr. (Helen) of Thomasville, Joseph Davis (Bridgett) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Derek Davis of Pavo, Louis Davis (Valencia) of South Carolina; daughters, Cathy Hutto (Clayton) of Moultrie, Sharon Rivera (Theodore) of Albany, Judy Terry (Hozell) of Thomasville, Stefanie Bryant (Tari) of Thomasville, Shundra Parris of Raleigh, North Carolina, Nakita Office of Moultrie, Dominique Davis, Monique Davis, Felicia Davis, Latina Davis, Makitha Curry (Corey) all of Atlanta; 53 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; special neice, Pamala Head; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by sisters, Naziree Banks and Dorothy Pearson. Visitation is from noon until 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home and from 11 a.m., until the funeral hour on Saturday at the church. Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
