Dr. Olin's Story
The home going of The Rev. Dr. Olin Dewitt Rehberg, Jr., 80 of Thomasville, will be celebrated on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. the Rev. Johnny Cooper and Rev. Al Wilbourn officiating with interment following in the Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers include Danny Wright, Travis Pike, Emory Lutes, Jamie Hickey, Max Allen, Joey Little, Charles Enfinger, Vernon Jackson, Sr., and Russell Baggett. A member of Pineland Baptist Church, Dr. Rehberg was born May 30, 1937 in Cairo to the late Olin Dewitt Rehberg, Sr. and Fannie Lou Allen Rehberg. Having served in the Unites States Army National Guard, Mr. Rehberg joined Anita Josephine Duncan in holy matrimony on March 9, 1958 in Boston. Dr. Rehberg began his ministry to the area over the years in several Baptist Churches and after attaining his doctorate in divinity from Tripp Bible Institute, he continued his ministry until his retirement with his wife of 59 years. Dr. Rehberg is survived by his wife Anita Rehberg of Thomasville, daughter Donna Joy Rehberg Jackson (Danny) of Jacksonville, FL, son Gary Scott Rehberg (Cathy) of Thomasville, grandchildren Jennifer Anne Hernandez, Joy Danielle Pike, and Michael Lee Hill, great grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Smith, Quentin Noah Smith, Trenton Scott Pike, and Jackson Daniel Pike, sister Judy Duncan, brother Charles Rehberg, sisters Diane Bryant and Jeanne Baggett all of Thomasville, and sister Deborah Wright of Oakwood. He was preceded in death by his brother, Cecil James Rehberg. The family will receive friends on Saturday November 11, 2017 at Pineland Baptist Church on Clay Street, Thomasville from 9:30 am to 10:30 am before the service.
