Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Cason, 66, will be Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Simmon Hill M. Baptist Church, Dixie with Pastor K. Brooks officiating. Burial follows in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be Friday from 2:00 PM until 8:30 PM at Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home, Quitman. Condolences may be made by visiting stevensmcgheefuneralhome.com. Doris Cason was born February 7, 1951 in Lakeland GA to the late Frankie Mae Bell and the late Dan Sumlin. She was educated in the Thomas County School system and a member of New Jersey Missionary Baptist Church, Pidcock GA. On September 12, 1969 she married Wallace Lee Cason Sr. of Pidcock GA and with this union 5 children was born.  She leaves behind their children Missy (Melvin) Goss Quitman, GA, Alice (Dennis) Dowdell Grovetown, GA, Annie Muse, Wallace Jr (Shenikia) Cason, Valdosta, GA, and Brian (Ashley) Cason, Thomasville GA; 17 Grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 5 siblings, Frances Brown, her twin brother Morris (Patricia)Bell, Rollie Bell, Virginia (Richard)McRae, and Catha Reddick; Sister-in-laws, Ebenezer Cannady, Lillie Mae(MB) Bryant, Marie Gross, Willie Mae Williams, Lucille Thomas, Irene Cason and Shirley Cannady.
A special niece who's like a sister Bonnie Faye Brown. Special friends Johnnie Mae Miles, Leroy Whitlock, Gloria Givens, Dorothy Mae Peeples, David and Maggie Clark.
