Deacon Cleveland Walker was born on July 3, 1946, to the late Leroy and Marie Helms Walker in Dothan, Alabama. His Christian experience began at an early age when he established a lifelong relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Funeral services are at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Willowhead Baptist Church with burial in Peaceful Rest cemetery. Survivors include wife, Addie Rene E. Walker; children: Darren Rogers, Tequila Thompson (Lorenzo), Detrail Scott (Robert), Katina Cooksey, Cleveland Walker Jr. (Latoya), Allen Walker (Letha); brother, Late Walker Sr. (Dorothy), Clarence Walker (Gilda), Benjamin Joe Helms (Jackies); sisters, Annie Bell Robinson (Freeman), Znnie Marie Huntingon, Lula Lurene McGriff (Charles), Alberta Huntingon (Michael), Miranda Williams (Curtis); aunts, Elizabeth Weathering; sisters-in-law, Georgia Mae Forbes (Steve) , Bennie Lee Boostick (Terry); brother-in-law, Charlie Williams Sr. (Barbara), J.L. Williams (Lativa), Gregory Biggins; several grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Maire Helms Walker; and two brothers Glen and James Walker. The public viewing is from 12 noon until 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
