Services for Chanie Mae Hardge, 102, of Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at New Oak Grove M.B. Church, 1908 Boston-Monticello Hwy., Boston. The Rev. James Redmon, pastor New Oak Grove M.B. Church, will officiate and interment is in New Oak Grove Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are her grandsons. Mrs. Hardge died Aug. 29 at Glen-Mor Nursing Home. Born Feb. 4, 1915, in Monticello, Jefferson County, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Alf and Mila Hudson. She attended Thomas County Public School System in Boston and a member of New Oak Grove M.B. Church in Boston. She had lived in Thomasville for 60 years and was a domestic, retiring from Oak Grove Nursery. Survivors include daughters, Ethel Abrams of Boston, Mattie Carr of Thomasville; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 36 great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Madison Barnes of Columbus; sister-in-law, Mary Dunlap of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; many relatives; New Oak Grove M.B. Church family; New Jerusalem COGIU?Church family; and Mt. Moriah M.B. Church family. The viewing is from noon to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home and from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at the church. Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
