Mrs. Carolyn Green was born September 6, 1956 to
Ms. Lula Mae Wardlaw and the late Willie Leaks, Sr.
She graduated from Thomasville High School in 1976.
She then relocated to St. Petersburg, where she graduated
from cosmetology school. She later returned to Thomasville
and retired as a private caregiver.
She really enjoyed spending time with her family, especially
her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She departed her earthly life on May 1, 2019.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband,
Priestly Green; four children, Alfred B. Leaks, LaWanda S.
Jeanty, Mary S. (Bright) Ayrakwa and Laronia T. Lindsey;
step mother, Irene Leaks; three step children, Thomas Green,
Priestly Green, Jr., and Verona Green; six sisters, Willie Pearl
(Zandaras) Spivey, Georgia (Nathan) Jackson, Martha Burkes,
Mary (John) Brady and Linda (Frank) Bryant; five brothers,
Willie Leaks, Jr., Arthur Leaks, Randy Leaks, Roy L.Jackson
and Vincent McMillian; thirteen grandchildren, eleven great
grandchildren, a special aunt and uncle, Terry and Bessie Clark
and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Lizzie Bates. Funeral services for Carolyn Green will be Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Disciples of Jesus Ministries at 11am. Public viewing will be Friday May 10, 2019 from 12pm until 7pm
