Carlton  Davis

Events

Mr. Carlton Davis, also known as "Sunnyboy", was born to
the late Steyerman Davis, Sr. and Elizabeth Livingston.
He joined the military in 1967, where he served his country
proudly. Mr. Davis moved back to Thomasville, GA in the late
1970's working as a logger and most of his adult life in the
pulpwood industry.
He is survived by his children, daughters, Alice Corker of
Thomasville, GA, Diane Williams of Atlanta, GA, Priscilla
Engram of Thomasville, GA; sons, Howard Walden, Larry
Walden and Dennis (Sabrina) Walden all of Thomasville,
GA and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his sisters, Cassie
V. Sandford, Dorothy Davis Hill, brothers, Napoleon Davis,
Melvin Davis, and Steyerman Davis, children, Charlie Walden
and the love of his life, Doris Walden.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 2:00 pm

My Uncle Sonny was a caring man that love his family & enjoyed life until the end. Doris Walden R.I Paradise & her children was the love of his life. He served his country, was a medic, enjoyed talking to his nieces & nephews. His nephews Edward & Donald Sanford kept up with him on a regular basic all their lives through phone calls as while as visits whenever they were visiting Thomasville to enjoy the yesterdays & catch up on what's going on into the now. When he was able to drive he always enjoyed coming by to visit. He always love to cook for himself & anyone around until the end. He knew soon his life was coming to an end but never gave up although he had many medical problems. He kne...w the Lord & God granted him 3 scores, ten plus Praise God hallelujah! Earth has no sorrows that Heaven cannot heal! To be absent from the flesh means to be present with the Lord!Read more
