Services for Camilla Vionne Rutland of Thomasville are at 3 p.m., Tuesday May 23, 2017, in the chapel of Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home. The Rev. Dewayne Franks and the Rev. Billy Taylor will officiate and interment follows in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Paul Massey, Roy Sellers, Billy Owens, Felix Horne, Tommy Johnson and Darell King. Mrs. Rutland died Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Thomasville Health and Rehab. Born February 18, 1942 at Miccosukee, Florida, she was the daughter of the late William Edgar Long and Irene Collins Long. On November 5, 1965 in Metcalf, Georgia, she married Henry G. Rutland. She worked for Warners, a secretary at MR&R Truck Lines and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Henry G. Rutland of Thomasville; sister, Betty Ann Barclay (Byrl) of Thomasville; brother, William Long (Pam) of Austell; nieces and nephews, Candi Crowley, Scott and Natalie Brady, Stephanie Everett, Justin and Dawn Barclay, Dewayne and Kristy Franks, Robert and Judy Fitgerald, Daphne Martin and Tom and Angie Stokes. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 23, 2017 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home before the service. Visitors may sign the register book on-line at www.whiddonshiverfuneralhome.com.
