Services for Bessie M. Jackson Brinson Williams, 84, of Boston, are at 1 p.m., Saturday,?June 3, 2017, at Saint John African Methodist Episcopal Church. The Rev. Sharon Jackson, pastor, the Rev. Randolph Smith Jr., officiating. Interment is in Boston Cemetery. Pallbearers are grandchildren and nephews. Mrs. Williams died May 24 at Archbold Hospital. Born July 18, 1932, in Boston, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Grip Jackson and Salley Massey Jackson. She was married to Curtis Williams who preceded her in death. She attended New Union School in Boston, Georgia. Survivors include daughters, Georgia Ann Brinson of Boston, Bessie M. Brinson of Boston, Sally Snead of Boston; sisters, Leila Mae Taylor of Delray Beach, Florida, Grippie Lee Barry of Thomasville; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She has many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was well-known and loved. She was preceded in death by her son, Jack Brinson Jr. The viewing is from 1 to 7 p.m., Friay at the funeral home and from noon until the funeral hour at the church on Saturday with no viewing after the eulogy. The family will receive friends after the services at Saint John African Methodist Episcopal Church annex. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at 12:15 p.m., at 456 Railroad Ave. in Boston for the procession.
