Avis "Ginger" Baggett Woodruff
Avis "Ginger" Baggett Woodruff, of Thomasville, Georgia, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother went to be with the Lord on August 9, 2017. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband James "Jim" Ralph Woodruff, her brother Larry Onez Baggett and her
grandson Dalton Gage Ryals. Originally from Whigham, Georgia, "Miss Ginger" or "Grandmama," as friends and family lovingly knew her, was as selfless a person as one could find. She would be the first to invite you into her home and would always leave you with
something you didn't come in with, be it a gift, advice or otherwise. As the matriarch of her family, she spent her golden years managing Woodruff Farms, which she devotedly maintained
after selling her successful trucking company, Woodruff Trucking. As the keeper of family memories, Ginger will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Keith Darren Baggett, Vernon Myrel "Buddy" Ryals, II, Brian Tate Ryals II, Michelle "Missy" Marie Ryals and Victoria Dayton Woodruff Conrad; her brothers Charlie Lowell "Po" Baggett and Donnie Luther Baggett; along with countless nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at WhiddonShiverFuneralHome.com. A memorial service will be held at the El Bethel Baptist Church in Whigham, Georgia, on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Brother David Parrish officiating. Grandsons Keith Ryals, and Branden Baggett, Brian Ryals, along with nephews Charlie "ToTo" Baggett Jr., Andrew Baggett, Chris Baggett and Drew Baggett will serve as pallbearers, with honorary pallbearers Justin Majors and Tyler Stephenson. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The
