Annie's Story

Funeral services for Annie Wright will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 23, 2017 at St. James Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Annie Mae Wright ("Tiny") died Dec. 15 and was born April 1, 1932 in Miami, Florida to the late Zack and Janie Darring. She moved to Thomasville, Georgia at a young age where she lived as a mother and a housekeeper. Annie known as Tiny was a very loving and caring person with a heart of gold, and she loved her grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews with all her heart. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving grandchildren Phillip Armster of Hinesville, Georgia, LaShondra Thomas, Yolanda (Willie) Bradshaw, Denise Armster, Nakeisha (Rodney) Cromartie, Shaylia Davis, Bruce Thomas Sr. all of Thomasville, Georgia. LaWanda (Clarence) Estes of Atlanta, Georgia, Cynthia Green of Augusta, Georgia, Tracy Heard of Cairo, Georgia, Lisa Armster of Hinesville, Georgia, and one son in law Frank Armster of Thomasville, Georgia, five sisters Lillie Ruth Thomas, Naomi Cherry, Dorothy Graham, Esther (Eugene) Walker, and Deborah Austin all of Thomasville, Georgia, and two brothers Amos Darring of Jacksonville, Florida and John (Ruby) Darring Sr. of Indiana, Indianapolis and 35 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wright; two children, Doris Armster and Roy Heard; two sisters, LouElla Robinson and Bertha Mae Sheppard; one brother, Zack Darring Jr.; three brothers-in-law, Willie T Thomas, Joe Austin Sr., Eugene Cherry Sr.; and two sisters-in-law Brenda Darring and Inez Darring. Public viewing will be Friday, December 22, 2017 from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. Hopkins Mortuary
